Most modern residential refrigerators come equipped with temperature control
devices, which allow users to regulate the temperature of their
refrigerator. However, most refrigerators do not have any type of
temperature indicator display or thermometer to allow consumers to see if
the temperature of the refrigerator is within the proper range to ensure
maximum freshness and preservation of perishable food items. If the
refrigerator is too warm, food items will likely spoil before their expected
expiry date, or become tainted and affect the taste of your food. If the

simply place an MATC Refrigerator Temperature Indicator or Digital
Refrigerator Temperature Indicator on the shelf of your refrigerator, or
apply our adhesive-backed format to the inside wall of the refrigerator,
beside the light. Each time the door is opened this unique and simple device
will provide a clear indication of the ambient temperature range inside the
consumer’s refrigerator. MATC’s new digital format cards will even provide a
numerical reading of the prevailing temperature inside your refrigerator.

Temperature Indicators, as with all items in the MATC Encapsulated Liquid
Crystal product line, can be custom printed or die-cut into any shape to
create a high impact promotional or premium item tailored to suit individual
customer requirements. Private label refrigerator temperature indicators can
have sustained consumer impact, as corporate brands, messages or websites
would be displayed to the consumer, each time the refrigerator door is
opened. The MATC Refrigerator Temperature Indicators will remain active and
accurate for a period of 5 years or more, providing literally thousands of

The standard MATC Refrigerator Temperature Indicator & Digital
Refrigerator Temperature Indicators utilize Encapsulated Liquid Crystal
technology to produce a simple but important household product. The standard
Temperature Indicators incorporate three basic temperature ranges, these
being “Too Cold” (-5 to 0 degrees Celsius or 23-32 degrees Fahrenheit),
“Ideal” (1-5 degrees Celsius or 33-40 degrees Fahrenheit), and “Too Warm”
(6-10 degrees Celsius or 41-50 degrees Fahrenheit). The digital Temperature
Indicators incorporate eight digital temperature levels and three
temperature ranges, these being “Too Cold” (-4, -2, 0 degrees Celsius or 25,
28, 32 degrees Fahrenheit), “Ideal” (2, 4 degrees Celsius or 36, 39 degrees
Fahrenheit), and “Too Warm”(6, 8, 10 degrees Celsius or 43, 46, 50 degrees
Fahrenheit). The temperature readings provided are accurate to within 0.5
degree at each level. The size of the ELC area may be customized to suit
specific customer requirements, as can any aspect of the physical support.
The standard card format measures 8.5 X 5.5 cm (3 3/8” X 2 1/8”), has a
8/1000” (8 PT.) permanent adhesive paper support, and includes up to four
over four color printing. The standard format facilitates easy application
on the inside wall of the refrigerator and is die-cut with rounded corners.
The ELC side is also protected by a transparent plastic film.
