Our MATC Combined Fridge/Freezer Thermometer allows for monitoring temperature changes in your fridge and freezer. Our temperature indication devices and thermometers provide accurate results within 0.5 degrees Celsius.  If the fridge or freezer is too warm, the food’s taste and appearance will deteriorate.  If the refrigerator or freezer is too cold some of the excess cold air may divert into the refrigerator portion of your appliance, changing the temperature there as well. Food stored in the freezer slowly loses hydration over time. If the freezer temperature is set too cold this dehydration process will become more rapid and the freezer storage life of your food item will be shortened.  If the fridge is too cold, many liquids, fresh fruit, vegetables and other items may freeze or develop ice crystals, also having a negative effect on overall food quality and enjoyment.  In order to ensure food quality, your freezer should be set to -20 °C (-4°F) to  -18° (0°F) and your fridge should be set to 1°C (34°F) to 4°C (39°F).  With the introduction of the MATC Combination Fridge/Freezer Temperature Indicator you can avoid the spoilage of your food on a daily basis.
